For composite resin drainage grates, proper surface cleaning is the first step in routine maintenance. Since these grates are typically located outdoors, debris such as leaves, silt, and plastic bags can easily accumulate near the drainage openings. Failure to clear this debris promptly can impede rainwater flow into the drain and, in severe cases, cause drainage blockages. Therefore, cleaning schedules should be adjusted based on the season and site conditions, with inspection frequency increased prior to the rainy season.

Routine inspections should also cover the overall condition of the grate. Key checks include looking for cracks, deformation, or structural damage on the surface and ensuring a secure connection between the grate and its frame. If the grate is noticeably loose or has shifted position, it should be adjusted immediately to prevent wobbling or instability when pedestrians pass over it. In areas with frequent vehicle traffic, it is particularly important to regularly assess the load-bearing integrity of the product.

Although composite resin materials offer excellent corrosion resistance, the impact of the operating environment cannot be ignored. Prolonged exposure to vehicle impacts, heavy loads, or other external forces can still lead to product damage. Consequently, maintenance practices should avoid the long-term stacking of heavy objects on the grates and prevent direct strikes with sharp tools. Standard tools should be used for debris removal to minimize unnecessary impact.

If a composite resin drainage grate exhibits severe cracking, breakage, or a significant reduction in load-bearing capacity, it should be replaced promptly; continued use is not recommended. When replacing a grate, ensure that the new unit matches the original installation site in terms of dimensions, structure, and load-bearing rating, while also verifying the integrity of the frame and surrounding foundation. Regular cleaning, inspection, and timely replacement ensure the proper functioning of the drainage system and help extend the service life of the composite resin grates.
